Asset Search
An ASSET search will provide information on valuable real estate or personal property owned by an individual. Searches are made of nationwide public records and records not readily available to the public, to locate real estate or personal property of a person or business entity along with any current or potential liabilities that may exist against those assets such as state and federal tax liens, judgments or bankruptcies.
Among the reasons that an asset search would be necessary is to assist attorneys and/or injured parties in locating assets and liabilities in both pre and post litigation in personal injury cases. Asset searches assist divorce attorneys, divorce mediators or divorcing couples to verify undisclosed or hidden assets. Asset searches are important in the collection of a debt. Information contained in an asset search can assist in creating an efficient collection strategy and to determine if the subject even has sufficient assets to make it worth spending further time and resources.
