Island View Golf Club is a semi-private course that is owned by a capped number of 375 shareholders.  In order to become a member, you purchase a share of stock ($4,000) along with a one-time joining fee ($1,500).  Of that $5,500 initial investment, $4,000 is your equity in the club that you sell back when you no longer wish to be a member.  Annual Dues for unlimited golf for a single runs around $2,000.  Couples play all year for $2,700.  Children ages 10 and under play free.  Ages 11 - 17 is under $200 for the year and we have graduate rates up to 24 yrs old for under $500.
