Partner, John C. Clark, began his career as a civil, commercial and intellectual property litigator in 1999. While interning at the prestigious and nationally recognized Carlton Fields, P.A., he passed the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office Bar before even finishing his third year of law school.
In 2013, Partner, T. Brooke Howard II, a lifelong resident of Fauquier County, joined Blair’s practice here in Warrenton. In doing so, Brooke became the third generation of the Howard family to practice law. Driven by the same passion and dedication to his clients that T. Brooke and Blair have displayed for over 90 years, Brooke has achieved on behalf of those he serves, both in the criminal and civil realms.

In 1923, T. Brooke Howard founded our Firm in Alexandria, Virginia. He was joined in the Alexandria office by our Senior Partner, Blair D. Howard, in 1964. It did not take long for Blair to follow in his father’s footsteps, quickly stepping out of his Father’s shadow as a dominant force in the criminal courtrooms of Northern Virginia. The legendary Fairfax Commonwealth’s Attorney, Robert F. Horan, distinguished T. Brooke and Blair perfectly, stating that "The old man was a big bear. He was country.
