The Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture opened its doors on September 24, 2016. As of today (January, 2020) over 6 million visitors have made their pilgrimage to this historic site in Washington, DC, to learn and study about the accomplishments of US History through the lens of the African American experience.
