We believe if you are going with the CDC guidelines of masking and social distancing, then now that has been lifted one should follow suit. You can’t pick and choose what to go by. If clients want to wear masks, great. If they do not, great. We are not requiring it.

I have not come across that as I don't actually recruit for business. We get out business all by word of mouth... so that is a hard one. I really don't have a great idea.

I don't really know. Personally, I like the newsletter. It gives much needed info on the company and provides an avenue to publicly discuss issues - softly.

Never actually. Here in VT that's not something that's done usually.

Carolyn I have the same problem. I try very hard to watch expenses payroll is my biggest hit and no matter how hard I try to put money aside something breaks and has to be fixed or replaced. I'm always treading water. I hope someone has an idea for us both.

What I do , and it does not always work out, is to tell the customer our policy is to perform the first two cleaning at an hourly rate; and I do my best to estimate the hours, tasks, and total for them to budget; then after that we talk and I ask what their bare minimum priorities are, tell them how long that will take and set a job price. I make sure they understand the price stands wether the teams takes 1 hr or 3 hrs; the only time it will change is if the client adds tasks, which I ask them to email me about prior to our arrival to allow me to schedule the approproate time to accomplish all they need and to let them know what the price will be for that cleaning with the added tasks.
For me here in Vermont, I used to stress about open spots, but someone is always cancelling and rescheduling and our "open" spots seem to fill rapidly either through reschedules or new calls. If I end up with a light day, I just send everyone home early for a change and it helps build morale....

If I end up with a light day, I just send everyone home early for a change and it helps build morale. Obviously, if this is happening frequently, you may want to reach out on a local electronic platform and let everyone know you have spots open for "residential" or "_____" cleanings and see who calls.
