Outsourcing may cost a pretty penny depending upon who you are hiring. However, these are the pros who know. Things can happen in any business and having written policies and procedures is a must. If you find that outsourcing is too much, have a small team brainstorm everything and Google online handbooks. There's a ton of free info on Google. Finally, as to how often, I guess that would depend on what goes on. I say yearly at a minimum unless a situation arises and there is no written way to address it. Again, have the team meet and go over the situation, come to an agreement and add it to the policy.

It's your company, your reputation and it means a lot. Don't let this fall through the cracks. Update it as situations may arise. You can't be expected to think of everything that could happen in the first handbook!

If you hire someone, and give them the training, you will have a better handle on their skills and abilities and to be able to track their progression.

I know there are people out there and it is something to talk about to Everyone, not just the ones you think may be out of line. Maybe a bi-monthly meeting about Racism and sexism may be appropriate depending on company size.

If they understand what the fear is (is they won't be liked, the other person won't be interested, the sale won't follow, etc.), they can work on this feeling by themselves. Go to a mirror and practice practice practice. Introduce yourself to one new person every day. If you have to make it more than an introction to relieve the fear, bring something that you can give them (besides a biz card) that gives you a reason to meet. Once you practice this often enough, you may begin to overcome the fear that comes with cold calling. Get your script down and practice it. Practice it funny, practice it angry, practice it too cool for school and eventually you will find it not so hard. Good luck. I know you have it in you.

Have a form on your site for First Name, Review and/or any other info you would like them to share. Also have a domain name for it, like BobsReviews.com so that you can guide them to the page easily.
