About Us
Gary Porter is a winner of the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for documenting 5 years old, Nic Volker, who was the first patient ever, to have his DNA sequenced for diagnostic purposes, to save his life.
He also won an Overseas Press Club Award for a story on Child Mortality in India, Nepal and Bangladesh. Porter has been named Wisconsin News Photographer of the Year 6 times.
Porter has travelled extensively and worked on numerous stories throughout the world during his 30 years as a photographer with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
