About Us

Welcome to my profile. My name is Marie Theriault, and the name of my business is Flowing River Qigong, Tai Chi, and Yoga. I am an E-RYT-500 (Yoga Teacher) registered with Yoga Alliance and have thousands of hours of teaching experience. I have additional training in Yoga for Cancer and recently completed an additional 300-hour yoga teacher training.

In addition to my Yoga trainings, I am also certified to teach Qigong and Tai Chi. Qigong and Tai Chi practices consist of gentle, flowing movements that can be enjoyed by people of all fitness levels. The unique movements are energizing and fun to learn. They offer relief from stress, pain, emotional distress, and depression, and aid the body in healing from an impressive list of ailments.

A monthly schedule of my group classes can be viewed using this link: https://forms.office.com/r/Bt7TKpiPhb

Private, individual lessons in Qigong, Tai Chi, and Yoga or Chair Yoga are available in-person or virtually. Private lessons are 75 minutes.

Those interested in learning more about my classes can visit my website https://www.flowingriverqigongandyoga.com/ or reach out to me by email or phone/text to receive more information, class descriptions, or to register for an upcoming class. As a small business, I have the freedom to add special touches to my classes, some of which are taught outdoors when the weather is good. I am also fully stocked with props of all kinds, and my indoor space is welcoming and clean.

Chair Yoga, Qigong, Tai Chi, Stretch and Balance, and Standing Dance classes are taught via zoom for The After Cancer digital health clinic which focuses on cancer survivorship. This is a virtual health clinic that provides the opportunity to learn from integrative practitioners, a monthly calendar of events including a variety of Exercise Classes, Mindfulness, Cooking Classes, HeartMath, Community Circles, and Chat with an Expert community sessions, and a library of educational, cancer-related research topics, videos, and resources. My teaching schedule with The After Cancer can be found on their website. If you have had or are currently experiencing cancer, you may wish to explore a trial membership with The After Cancer. You can gain access to these classes and join this friendly and supportive community by signing up for a free trial membership at https://www.theaftercancer.com/

All are welcome to my outdoor classes regardless of vaccination status. People are welcome to wear a mask if they wish, but I don't require them. I believe in medical privacy and freedom of choice and am respectful of the decisions people make for themselves as they see fit.
