95% Show Their Support For Main Street Businesses

My husband and I believe in community...shopping locally. We support our Niagara, Ontario businesses by regularly going to dinner at local restaurants, having good conversations with the owners, visiting the same weekly bakery and of course any other needs for home repairs, we first look to the local small business. Once when our road was being torn up...during construction, we noticed a local construction company was part of the team helping. We asked the Supervisor on the roadway if we could host a BBQ at our house on the front lawn for their crew? He was so taken-back that people in community would host this for them. We had 30+ crew members line up for my husband's delicious bbq, pop, chips and I made cookies. I went to the neighbours nearby and asked if they could where red shirts, or a Canadian flag shirt-if they had one...and they agreed to help serve the crew of this business. It's true, and one of the reasons why I started to embrace the Alignable network, is for this very reason ---local small businesses, local economy is so valuable. Thank you for sharing this post Chuck, it is a good read, and re-read as a reminder for us all. We appreciate you!
