About Us

Senior citizens are having a tough time. While their daily living expenses keep increasing, fixed income stays...well, fixed.

In the past, seniors and their advisors have ignored a senior's greatest source of wealth...their HOME. Recently, more and more seniors(and their financial advisors, CPAs, attorneys, etc) have realized that seniors can use their home equity to fuel their retirement.

At Reverse Mortgage Reality, we help seniors unlock their equity to live a more financially comfortable retirement. Some of the things Reverse Mortgages do are...
✔ Eliminate the mortgage payment
✔ Pay for home health care(keeping seniors out of the nursing home)
✔ Help seniors buy their Forever Home(with an investment of about 60% and no mortgage payment
✔ Self fund their future long term care
✔ Set up a fund to pay for property taxes and homeowners insurance for life
✔ Fund a small business
✔ Help the kids or grandkids(especially for college)

Reverse Mortgages are not cookie cutter. Instead, we use a reverse as a tool to help seniors maximize their retirement dollars...which means we mold it around the senior's unique situation instead of vice-versa.

I recently referred him an older client who was going through some major health problems. Jim took the time to befriend Al, and besides the real estate transaction I know that Jim brought something very positive to Al's life. Jim Hering has my highest recommendation!"

No. Reverse mortgages aren't right for everybody, but they are a Godsend for many seniors. Who aren't they right for? If you STILL won't be able to afford to live in your home EVEN with a reverse mortgage...you need to downsize. Doing a reverse will only hurt you. However, if you know that... However, if you know that having a few more branches on your "Retirement Money Tree" will help you live financially stable through retirement, a reverse mortgage is a tremendous option(however now you've got to see if you can qualify or not).  If you have any questions, feel free to reach out through Alignable, email jasone@reversemortgagereality.com or call 561 408 2628.

First, a disclaimer. I help seniors get reverse mortgages and I think that they're a brilliant financial tool for the right senior.  So who's right and who's wrong? I help seniors get reverse mortgages and I think that they're a brilliant financial tool for the right senior.  So who's right and who's wrong? First off...who SHOULDN'T get a reverse mortgage? You shouldn't get a reverse mortgage if you won't be able to keep up your pay your senior living expenses(which means your taxes, homeowners insurance, meds, grocery bill, etc) even with the reverse. Example time...about 2 years ago I spoke with a wonderful widow. Her husband had passed away and they had racked up a large amount of credit card debt. Not to mention, they had gone through all of their savings when Bob was in the hospital. Joanne was only bringing in social security. The reverse mortgage would've paid off her  mortgage, but with 0 in savings, credit card bills and just having fixed income...it just didn't work for Joanne. In the end, I recommended her to NOT get a reverse mortgage, sell her home and now she's renting near her kids(which IS affordable).  Who SHOULD get a reverse mortgage? If you believe that your MONEY TREE might not last as long as you do, you should INVESTIGATE a reverse mortgage. Then, before you sign up...go through your assets, income and expenses. Make sure that you'll be able to "keep good going" now that you've got a reverse. In other words, my goal for every single person I help is that they will be able to live in their home, financially comfortable for the rest of their life.  I hope this helps.
