(And I say that as a crocheter, people - just so you know I'm not spinning a yarn). I had the pleasure of being a co-panelist with Alise during the July 8, 2025 AlignaTalk, and she absolutely shined. Thoughtful, engaging, and refreshingly real, she brought warmth and wisdom to her part of the discussion. But the moment that really stuck with me came during a Chuck Casto Contest event focused on learning how to support others. Alise is one of those who reminds you that business is personal and that how we treat others matters. Alise is the kind of person who threads compassion into everything she does. Whether she’s creating something beautiful through her brand Knit Me Sew Me, or showing up in the Alignable community with encouragement and insight, she embodies what it means to lift others up. If you haven’t yet, I highly recommend checking out the Purple Power Movement and connecting with people like Alise who represent what it stands for. #PurplePowerPromotions #KnitMeSewMe #SupportLocalMakers #AlignableVoices #CommunityFirst #CraftingWithHeart #SmallBizSupport”

Costs are still really high. I live in Los Angeles. Everything is expensive anyway, but prices have not come down since the end of the pandemic. I use coupons and discounts as often as I can to keep Knit Me Sew Me's expenses down. I'm also trying to keep prices the same, at least for the time being. (more) Costs are still really high. I have already booked events for the fall and continuing to do so.  I'm also doing a lot of networking, social media and working with mentors.  Along with all of this, I'm still creating new handcrafted products, which are available at www.knitmesewme.com.
