About Us

A group of young back-to-the-landers working toward building a self-sufficient community. Sourcing from local growers and producers as well as producing many of our own inputs is one way this little restaurant is fiercely defending the independence of our small, rural community in Weston, West Virginia!

How We Got Started

The West Fork Eatery was the brain child of entrepreneur Anna Cardelli. Kara Vaneck, current owner of The West Fork and owner of Smoke Camp Crafts had been working with Anna for years producing jams, jellies and herbal teas used at the restaurant. In 2020, Vaneck took over operations and expanded on the healthful nature of the establishment's offerings.
