I approach photography like foodies approach dining. I am always looking for a new experience, or location. I really thrive capturing an energetic atmosphere; a sports event or a stage presentation. I love it when clients come with ideas that we can work together on.

I got started when Olivia Newton John came to SIU. I got in a position to get great seats, borrowed my neighbor's camera and telephoto lens and photographed the concert. I spent the next 10 years photographing some of the biggest names in R&R. Moved to weddings next. The energy of a wedding day helped me to excel in this arena.
Along the way, I began photographing sports action. Nothing scripted here. Action and emotion can happen at any time in any direction. It forces you to stay focused on what's taking place everywhere around you. My experience helps me plan so that I'm in the right place at the right time.
