I create a monthly budget. Have for years. It is the only way you can KNOW exactly where you stand and having a budget will allow you to create an emergency fund by putting a small amount to the side. In this same manner you can create a small deduction each month for items you know you have coming up even with an unstable income. Evaluate expenses before you commit to them. Ask yourself, is this a need or a want? How will this improve/affect my business?
