Club History
Founded in 2011, the Parrotheads of the Phininsula is one of more than 200 clubs around the U. S plus international clubs in Canada, Australia, the Caribbean, and Europe that make up Parrot Heads In Paradise, Inc. While our volunteer service may find us supporting such worthy causes as PISH, The Heritage Humane Society, Wounded Warriors to name a few, we strive to remember that Jimmy Buffett's words and music are the common thread that draws and holds us together. Started as a rag tag group of people that attended the Bristow Virginia Jimmy Buffett show every year, we grew into a well-organized (well semi-organized) group that planned the Bristow pilgrimage with food, fun, friends and even a tour themed scavenger hunt. From this group emerged what is now the Parrotheads of the Phininsula, with 26 original members to 46 in 3 months and still growing.
Mission Statement
Parrotheads of the Phininsula Parrot Head Club was created to promote friendships and organize social activities for people with similar interests, including enjoyment of the tropical spirit of Jimmy Buffett’s music. In the process of making new friends and having fun, we believe in leaving something positive behind. We are a non-profit organization which provides a variety of volunteer efforts in the local, regional and national community for social and environmental causes. Our club is open to anyone with the tropical spirit and desire to contribute to the betterment of our community.
If you'd like to have some fun while fundraising, stop by one of our monthly socials to see what we're all about!
