Our "Sweet" Beginning....
The Williamsburg Chocolatier, Inc.,was started in 1985 by Evelyn Dixon who learned the art of candy making from her mother Mary Conner. The business was started on a part-time seasonal basis selling their delicious chocolates and confections to retail outlets that included hotel gift shops, gourmet food stores and gift basket businesses locally and regionally.
In 1992 when Evelyn's daughter Maryann joined the business, The WIlliamsburg Chocolatier, Inc., became a full time year round business. Some of the first products that were made were chocolate lollipops and chocolate confections in various flavors which are still top sellers for the company today.
A retail store was opened in Williamsburg,VA in 1994 expanding operations which served as a manufacturing location for the chocolate confections,offices,Chocolate Making Classes for Kid's and Adults as well as Birthday parties and Events. In 2004 due to Evelyn's health decline the retail store was closed and all retail business was moved to the Internet. Chocolate Making Classes for Kid's and Adults along with Birthday parties became a TRAVELING venue where all Chocolate Events and Cake/Cupcake Decorating Events were brought to the customer! This was a HUGE success for the business! The Williamsburg Chocolatier travels YEAR ROUND with their Chocolate Making Events and Classes in Virginia, DC and expanding to other areas!

Maryann is a 3rd Generation for Chocolate and Confections where some of the recipes from her grandmother, Mary Conner are still used in the business today.
