In the HVAC industry, government regulations, not the best interest of consumers, is the main driving force. Costs of HVAC systems have increased to the point of ridiculousness while the safety of HVAC professionals continues to be more at risk.

Had the Federal government only supported individual states as illness from the Wuhan virus affected the individual states, we would not be in the financial mess we are in and states would have made better choices in not doing so much harm to local businesses. The more the Federal Government is in control of our lives, the less freedoms and rights to make determinations about our lives we will have for ourselves. The Federal Government did way too much that harmed us than they did to help us.

My biggest concern is that our state government is going to continue imposing wrong minded restrictions on the way we are going to be allowed to socialize and conduct business. Then there are those like me who don't care as long as it's not going to make me sick. People drank unfiltered water for centuries upon centuries, and I'm sure some got sick from poor water quality at times. Those who care will be good targets for water filtration marketing and those who don't care won't care unless they get sick.

In the HVAC industry, any technician is required to be EPA certified to handle refrigerants in any way. While HVAC technicians and HVAC companies can be heavily fined for improper handling of refrigerants, there is no method for preventing or punishing anyone not an HVAC professional who handle refrigerants improperly.  In PA, HVAC companies are required to be registered with the District Attorney's office to obtain a contractor's number. This  provides a way for consumers to file legal claims against persons doing HVAC contract work without at least being registered.

Anywhere can be a sanctuary when we really need one. Since I am on the road a lot, my vehicle is my main sanctuary.
