But, in general, I believe it's worth paying for prevention. So many chronic diseases could be avoided with simple lifestyle changes. If the question is about paying for medical care to treat a disease, it's always best to get a second opinion if you have any hesitation about the cost or even the recommended treatment. I would ask what the options are and then determine if the cost is appropriate. Your health is your most important asset.
