About Us
Ace Solenberger's Home & Hardware is a local, family owned and operated hardware store. We specialize in nuts and bolts, electrical, plumbing, tools, lawn and garden, ammo and guns, paint, home goods and outrageous customer service. We offer key duplication, window screen repair, glass cutting, watch battery replacement, lamp and light fixture repair, computerized paint color matching and water testing for water filtration and softening systems. Our sales associates take great pleasure in serving our customers and helping them with household how-to's and problem solving fix-it solutions. Come see us!
How We Got Started
John S. Solenberger started Solenberger's Hardware in 1888. He saw the need for a retail Hardware establishment to serve the Shenandoah Valley. We are fourth generation Solenberger family owned with fifth generation Solenberger family employees.

The biggest misconception about Solenberger’s True Value Hardware and many locally owned hardware stores is that we are like Lowe’s and Home Depot. While we sell many similar products the big boxes are more focused on new construction and big $$$ remodels. Hardware stores are more individual project focused with knowledgeable employees who can walk you through projects step by step. We also sell all the items that the big boxes don’t want to mess with from an inventory perspective. We love Lowe’s and Home Depot because they refer customers to us every day. Check out your local hardware retailer and see how different they are! Solenberger’s True Value Hardware is known for our extensive inventory and our ability to get you what you need quickly and with the knowledge you need to get your project finished.
