No I do not.  There might be a few exceptions however as an organizer I want to know what is being set up, that it is setup properly / safely and that everything has an organized similar look which appeals to the eye.  Most importantly though is safety.  I hire an insured vendor whom I trust to... (more) No I do not.  There might be a few exceptions however as an organizer I want to know what is being set up, that it is setup properly / safely and that everything has an organized similar look which appeals to the eye.  Most importantly though is safety.  I hire an insured vendor whom I trust to setup all the tents then I know it is safe, all looks the same and that the participants can just walk in and setup...This avoids late setups / early breakdowns which interfere with your show too.  Because we have great relationships with the tent vendor and because we are buying in bulk we save a good deal of $$ which we pass along to the participant.  Hope this answers your question

Rarely does this happen as we confirm all appointments 2 days out and then the day of too.  Usually if someone misses an appointment after that it's because something beyond their control came up...I think you can avoid the missed appointments if you simply take responsibility for making certain... Hmmm, well I think first and foremost is to always under promise and over deliver.  Be honest with your client and take a consulting approach when working with them.  I hate when I hear that a client has been over-sold services/rentals that they simply could do without.  Do it the right way and... (more) Hmmm, well I think first and foremost is to always under promise and over deliver.  Be honest with your client and take a consulting approach when working with them.  I hate when I hear that a client has been over-sold services/rentals that they simply could do without.  Do it the right way and you save your client time, frustration and MONEY!  Educate them so that they understand the process and make it enjoyable...Events / Meetings should be FUN!  Of course we always send them quarterly tidbits on trends, personal entertaining ideas for the season and usually a gift card that reflects their personal taste.  (Make them feel important and appreciated)

Besides the fact it is usually expected it is an additional source of income either for the caterer, venue or even a fundraiser- as long as who ever is "serving" it has a license & responsible...Let's face it a glass of wine or whatever in a social setting for some reason enables us to relax,... YES - we started at the June/beginning of July with an expiration of 8/31/18...In the event industry you try to get your clients to book early so that you have the proper items requested and more importantly have the valuable staff scheduled.  Usually by November we are completely booked / sold out! There are so many variables depending on the business you are in and where/when you will find your target market. We typically like middle of the week- afternoon networking events so that our work day is not interrupted and affecting service we provide to our clients / potential clients. Plus... (more) There are so many variables depending on the business you are in and where/when you will find your target market. We typically like middle of the week- afternoon networking events so that our work day is not interrupted and affecting service we provide to our clients / potential clients. Plus I think the benefit of the afternoon/evening meetings are that you will find guests relaxed & less in a hurry to get back to work which usually leads to stronger connections with those you want to do business with.
