What is “Other Suns”☀️?

Other Suns☀️ is an evolving community “place to be“. This multi- small business cozy cocoon houses two beauty salons, a boutique, a pcoffee shop and indoor/outdoor rental space. Other Suns☀️, in the African American tradition of taking what we have and creating what we want, works wonders to provide a warm and cultural experience.
The inspiration for the name came from Richard Wright 📝 during the great migration of African Americans from the south, he wrote, “I was leaving the South to fling myself into the unknown . . .I was taking a part of the South to transplant in alien soil, to see if it could grow differently, if it could drink of new and cool rains, bend in strange winds, respond to the warmth of other suns and, perhaps, to bloom”.

Other Suns☀️ is a blooming oasis located IN the south, in traditional old East Winston at 414 Laura Wall Blvd.
It is a place of warmth, where you can escape the daily onslaught. Come, meet, have a loving conversation with a friend or a stranger or just sit alone. As you enter, let the deluge of sensory overload fall away and experience the warmth of Other Suns☀️.
