About Us

I am employed with Insight human services as a youth and family therapist/counselor serving the school age population ages 12-25. I treat behavior issues, family issues, community issues, mental health issues and provide substance abuse prevention counseling and education. Insight is a substance abuse treatment agency for adults 18
and older, and in our division of Insight we provide services for mental health of children through working with them individually, groups and in family counseling. I have been employed here 11 years, and have served in the community as a therapist for 28 years working with the same population. I also provide clinical supervision for graduate school interns working toward their masters degrees in counseling, and post masters counseling students working toward full licensure. I hold the EdD. in curriculum and teaching (Grades k-12) and the PhD. in Eastern Orthodox Studies (Theology). I am licensed by the NC Board of Licensed Professional Counselors with the LPC (#2165) and the LPC-S (#S2165).
The agency is located at 665 West Fourth Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.

I know from my experience in working with clients, that the best thing to do is to always be available. Carry your phone with you, perhaps a special cell phone for your business. Even then you may not always be able to immediately be available. (more) I know from my experience in working with clients, that the best thing to do is to always be available.
