For our new and existing clients we are providing them with solutions they can utilize as we navigate through the temporary changes in our market created by the coronavirus pandemic. The MeMD telemed product is available to our Aflac clients, which has the availability to be offered without additional cost to the business or the employees. This has helped to provide peace of mind so staff can access a licensed provider 24/7.

Theses plans fit the needs of some, but not all when it comes to choosing a health plan. The Pre-Ex exclusion is one and also the more limited provider network. For someone that is healthy and doesn’t go to the doctor but would some coverage in the event of a catastrophic event, these types of plan can provide a value based on a reduced premium compared to a qualified on or off Marketplace plan. For those with Pre-Ex concerns, high utilization and/or specific provider needs, these may not be in their best interest. One if the reasons I recommend working with Health Insurance Broker. No Fee to work with a broker but a broker can help navigate the difference in the various plan options and help to find a plan that best fits the clients needs.

I partially agree with Sofi in regards to focusing on 1 career avenue... if that’s B2B sales, then there is no reason, introvert or not, why you can’t be successful.13 years ago when I first started I was afraid to walk into businesses or each out by phone because of the fear of the rejection.. but I also was a single working mom that had no choice to support my family... what works for me has actually been my non-sales personality and approach so use your introvertness to your advantage... position yourself to educate not sell that business person on how/why your product/service would benefit them and their staff. Be genuine, honest and most importantly know your stuff and believe in what your offering can truly provide them with a solution for their business. We as introverts have the power to do so! Introverts are great salesman because our focus is usually on the other person and not ourselves... you got this! Stay focused, stay positive and know there is nothing you can’t do!

I would recommend setting aside some time to meet to find out more about each others business and the types of clients they would like to be introduced to. Once I have this information, I will work on finding 1 or 2 possible business contacts that I believe would make a great contact. Show that you are genuinely making an effort to help them and then the referrals will start to flow!

To me, the most important information I can provide to my clients is to truly explain how the Aflac programs work. For the business owner, my goal is to provide them with solutions that help them to protect their bottom line and lower their business overhead expenses without adding an additional cost to the business.  When speaking with the employees, I enjoy providing them with the information they need to form an educated decision on how to protect themselves and families from the financial devastation a catastrophic illness or injury may cause. People are going to get sick or injured and they need to understand how our programs can provide a cash benefit in the event of a loss of income and/or out of pocket medical expenses. Rent, mortgages, utility bills etc, all still expect to get paid. Most employees have less than $1,000 in their savings when an incident strikes. In reality, most have less than $500. They need to know they have options to protect themselves from this type of loss.
