How We Got Started

I moved to Woodbridge right after earning my Doctor of Chiropractic degree and opened the clinic in 2005. Starting a business from scratch in a new city was a daunting task, full of challenges and its success came from overcoming the obstacles and hurdles. A few options include, a small donation to a local charity or other fundraising cause. The key is local, such as a family in the community had their house burn down or the church needs a new roof, something that's very direct for people, unless it's the local soup kitchen or other smaller grassroots cause. Leave the big charities to the big donors. There are a few ways through Facebook, etc to accept the money in advance when they register. $5-$20 is reasonable, judge accordingly based on your area. Once they register and provide and e-mail, in addition to an e-mail message to confirm they are registered, follow-up the day before and day of with reminder e-mails. Go one step further with a phone call if you collect their number. Beyond that, there's not a TON you can do. Some people will flake.
