I do more t han just sell insurance. If a free resource and discounted health options are what a person needs that is what they are going to get from me. If they need assistance finding a Health Care Plan, which I do not sell, I will find it for them.  If another provider can offer a better plan... (more) I do more t han just sell insurance. If they need assistance finding a Health Care Plan, which I do not sell, I will find it for them.  If another provider can offer a better plan for Dental, Vision, or Life I will refer them! I want what is best for my policy holders so that they have what they need to keep themselves and their families healthy. I am not going to high pressure someone to buy something they are not going to use or benefit from. In the end, when they are able, they will know who to turn to for honest unbiased services. ME!

Honestly it is a great idea to start thinking about how benefits will aid in retention and attraction of New Employees! But if you are not thinking about implementing any benefits for 2-3 years there is not much you can do as far as budget planning.... costs and plans change every year. I would... (more) Honestly it is a great idea to start thinking about how benefits will aid in retention and attraction of New Employees! But if you are not thinking about implementing any benefits for 2-3 years there is not much you can do as far as budget planning.... costs and plans change every year. I would recommend looking at getting some supplemental plans in place for now! That way you can say you do offer a benefits package... which is always a great thing to be able to say. You could offer these supplemental plans as either an Employer Paid Benefit $50-$100 a month per employee or as completely voluntary employee paid option. Either way it is a great way to ease into benefits without having to deal with the ever changing Health Care System. It also would depend on how many employees you have... that makes a big difference too! Please feel free to reach out if you have any other specific questions as I have lots of creative ideas I have suggested to other businesses and they have been very happy with the results!

You don't win them over.... you have to establish a true relationship with them. Join some BnI groups... go to networking meetings.... if you are trustworthy, hard working and show them your willingness to work together you wont have any problems. Good Luck.  There are affordable plans out there on the Market place. Put some supplemental plans in place to help cover the deductibles and big Health Care expenses in the event of a big claim.  You have 60 days to enroll in a new plan. I don't need a good closing line when you have a product that is of value to everyone! When they are able they will come back and respect you for being sensitive to their life situation. What I need is an opening is an opening statement that expresses more clearly to Business Owners that there is no charge to their business to offer these products to their employees!!

I have actually. Lost a very large account because I would not stay quiet about an environmental issue/risk to our community. Land owner was the CFO of the large account.
