I have spent over thirty years working with clients to enhance their homes and to build custom homes for them. I can assist in designing, permitting, and construction. I am an artisan and craftsman first and foremost, and I have experience with historic buildings and restorations. I take pride in what I do, and always strive to make what I do fit with the clients' lives and needs and to look like it fits with the rest of the home rather than seeming like an afterthought.

I first started in construction after finishing college. I lived in Monterey, CA at a time when there was a renaissance in artisanship in the construction industry that emphasized the contribution to a home or commercial building made by the art and skill of the trades people building or renovating it. I built homes in Carmel, Pebble Beach, and Carmel Valley that often had heavy timber exposed beam roofs and framing, which required skill and precision in order to look right.
