The MOD Market LLC is an entrepreneurial business that encourages and helps each other to think, plan, create or build. Sort of a Gig kind of place.
Founded by a passionate EDWOSB entrepreneur, who was an m.o.d craftsman, dedicated to helping people make something one of a kind, and then turn it into their small business. Knowing how to make a buck, live off of a buck, make expenses close to a buck and income a lot more than a buck. Three projects that are currently being worked on are:
- Creating an individual, micro, or small business m.o.d marketplace for craftsmen from 3D printing, woodworking, welding, to basket weaving, to sell however many, even if it is just one, custom, crafted, personalized products, without being over run by or with obnoxious, cheap, online shopping places and having to deal with your own website when you just want to make your on demand products.
In traditional manufacturing, companies try to anticipate demand and create products based on what they project customers will want. There is a longer planning and manufacturing process for conventional products, allowing for higher costs for storage, inventory and mass production. With on-demand manufacturing, the individual or companies pull the customers into the manufacturing process, allowing them to dictate the exact product specifications they want. With this model of manufacturing, there are more customization options. The traditional model includes manufacturing and storing products in large quantities, whereas on-demand businesses opt for small-scale production with minimal pre-production, making it a more efficient and cost-effective alternative to traditional manufacturing, utilizing 3D printing, CNC machining, similar technologies, craftsmanship work, and smaller homemade products. This shift in the manufacturing industry has also led to changes in planning and production strategies, with a focus on meeting the specific demands of individual customers rather than mass producing for a general market.
