As a professional photographer, I stick with my Nikon D850. 
I only use my phone camera for snaps or documentary use. The question is, how do you intend to use your camera or phone? Do you need to make very large prints? Once you know what you want to achieve, you’ll be better positioned to make a decision. There are many reasonably priced and excellent digital cameras on the market. Good luck!
