About Us
I started as a baker of Gluten Free B'scotti and am working on expanding my menu. My baked goods are tasty, nutritious and fun - all the things you might not associate with gluten free. Currently, it is an Ohio Cottage Bakery with a Transient Vendor license. How We Got Started
Being diagnosed as having Celiac disease was a blow to my normal baking addiction. No longer could I enjoy doing the family recipes knowing that I couldn't eat them. Gluten free baked goods can be dry and tasteless. I tried to work on something that wouldn't take much to change the recipe. Through may trials and errors, Bada Bing B'scotti was created and the menu is almost always expanding!

Samples work well when sent to businesses. Think about who you want to market and how far away from your business you want to go. Remember, though, that samples are smaller than what you would normally sell. It's a taste of good things to come from your shop!

I would hope that a business consultant would understand the trials and misconceptions of gluten free baking (in my situation) as well as the goodness that is a result of it. Some folks think "gluten free" is a fad. It's a gut wrenching (to be blunt) physical issue that is extremely difficult to have folks who don't suffer really understand. It would take a while (as it still is for me to get a grip on it) to be confident when selecting a consultant. I believe I would try to find one who isn't solely an advocate to the cause, but someone sympathetic and willing to venture out of a "normal food" comfort zone most have grown up with.
My b'scotti are tasty, gluten free items. They are basically good for you and don't taste like most gluten free items. Gluten free baking is tricky - keeping tastes, textures and such to what we normally eat.

My basic challenge is getting people to understand the cost differences between regular GLUTEN ingredients and GLUTEN FREE ingredients. My products, I believe, are as tasty as others. And yet, people think that because they cost more, they'll choose the mainstream type. And, the secondary challenge is letting people know that not ALL gluten free products are tasteless.
This is a difficult situation, particularly with my products. Most misunderstand the gluten free products and are unsure of how they compare to "normal" baked goods. My 5 lb. of gluten free flours run from $19 to $40 depending on what it is. I still struggle with this item, and therefore offer a...

I agree that word of mouth is the greatest thing you can have. However, sometimes getting the information out there is difficult finding someone/someplace to offer their services. Good products and sharing!
