Before becoming an accountant, I worked in social work and education—so I deeply understand the emotional and practical demands of helping professions. That background shapes the way I approach accounting: with empathy, clarity, and respect for the work you do.
I offer tax-focused accounting and bookkeeping services to therapists and mental health professionals across the U.S. As a solo practitioner, I work one-on-one with each client to help them feel more confident and in control of their finances.
With me, you’re not just another client on a roster. You get a real relationship, personalized support, and a partner who values your time, energy, and impact.
After a long career in social work and education, I made an unexpected but fulfilling transition into accounting—guided by one of the best mentors I could ask for: my mother. With over 30 years of experience as an accountant, she not only taught me the ins and outs of public accounting and tax preparation but also passed down her passion for helping small businesses thrive.
While learning from her, I also pursued additional coursework in accounting and business to meet the requirements for the Ohio CPA exam. At the end of 2023, my mother retired, and I officially took over the practice. Now, after completing my first full year on my own, I’m excited for the future of McElroy Comprehensive Accounting and the opportunity to continue supporting therapists, psychologists, and other small business owners with the financial guidance they need to succeed.
