Increasing Manufactures Cost on Labour, Product Materials and Charging what the market can bear leaves little for profit! However, that is what we do, we set prices based on what our customers are willing to pay, not based on our costs. After 25 Years of a distributor of Industrial Products, there has been plenty of Competitors that have come and gone based on this very Premise, When Pricing for the Same Exact Product, and It is Quoted Lower by Competitor, they are not making any profit. This is simply Predatory lost Leader,... (more) After 25 Years of a distributor of Industrial Products, there has been plenty of Competitors that have come and gone based on this very Premise, When Pricing for the Same Exact Product, and It is Quoted Lower by Competitor, they are not making any profit. This is simply Predatory lost Leader, Undercutting themselves to gain your attention. "So Customer, I`d like you to give me an opportunity to find a Supplier that will negotiate with me on better pricing so I can match that - Can you do that for me?" "Supplier, we are trying to find out why other Competitors can price so low, Are we not getting the best price then?" So you can decifer what is Lost Libre or If you have a bad Supplier. However after a very short time, Competitors increase the prices on the other items dramatically to negate thier earlier loss. The Customer eventually returns to their loyalty Supplier.
