About Us

My interests are many and diverse, and I'm constantly finding and learning new things. I was a mermaid in another lifetime, so anything to do with waters, nature, and mythology fascinates me. I'm in training to be a cat in another lifetime, meaning I have a visceral connection with animals too. My partner is a political consultant, and so many people have strong political stances, so I try to be aware of many perspectives. I am Newsletter Coordinator for A Better Way of Living, a not-for-profit organization that works with persons who have developmental disabilities. My grandmother, before her passing, selected me to write her biography, for which I'm conducting 95 years worth of research and interviews.

How We Got Started

Creative Writing and Accounting were my two chosen fields when I started at the College of Santa Fe, so I chose to double major. A couple of years later, when I switched to Eastern New Mexico University, I decided to focus on English with a focus in writing, and minored in Psychology. After all, my characters are the ones who write the story; I'm just the instrument they use.

Most of my connections are local (Albuquerque and the surrounding areas), though several of them are from other parts of the country, and if Alignable has international reach, chances are I have at least a couple of contacts from abroad, too. I've found people who provide services that don't relate to my business but that I need or am interested in (my range of interests is wide!), and am always looking for ways to connect people with other people, which is exactly what Alignable is designed to do. It's a positive site, and if people use it mindfully it can work wonders.

I like the question about what I'd tell myself if I could go back to a particular point in time. It's a good way to get us thinking about things from a new angle, which I constantly try to do anyway.  (more) I like the question about what I'd tell myself if I could go back to a particular point in time. Since Raccoon Properties, LLC deals with rental properties, Small Business Saturday doesn't really apply to us.  I did shop at small, local businesses (as I frequently do), though not more than usual, because I'm between paydays. though I'll certainly be buying plenty of Christmas gifts from... I love shopping local. My boyfriend says it well; he likes to shop at places that you can't access from other places. If it's a choice between eating at Cocina Azul, Taco Bell, or a taco truck, I'm likely to get street tacos from the truck, or maybe enchiladas at Cocina Azul. Sure, it'll cost a... One of our tenants owed us back rent of over $2000 when he was rescued by the eviction moratorium. He did make several payments during the last year and a half, usually including extra to nibble away at his balance, though it kept going up. Chances are good that he'll be leaving very soon,... He did make several payments during the last year and a half, usually including extra to nibble away at his balance, though it kept going up. Chances are good that he'll be leaving very soon, meaning our income will go down and our expenses will go up (there are always repairs to be made between tenants).
