Jeannie Delahunt, MPA
Notre Dame Spiritual Center
My primary responsibilities include: research, marketing and reaching out to the community. The two halls (Denis and Eugene) are open to business and social retreats and conferences. Meals may be included, depending upon how long guests wish to stay. Our dining room manager will gladly work with guests regarding menus. The conference rooms are mobile, in that, guests may arrange them as suits their needs.
Denis Hall holds the larger conference room - which boasts a new, large tv screen, two smaller meeting areas, and a chapel.
Eugene Hall is a little more private - a bit removed from the day-to-day flow of the Center.
Both halls provide overnight accommodations with 2 twin beds, a few room offer 3-4 twin beds, all rooms have sinks. Some have shared baths, others, the bathrooms and showers are located at the end of the hall. There are accommodations for those who may need handicap accessibility.
We do give tours - please contact us to set up a time: 207-324-6160, Sue Cass, Manager and myself.
More to come...thank you!
Actually, the nitty-gritty...The Shakers were the first to establish the Campus in the late 1700s. They built a faith-based community. Then sold to the Brothers of Christian Instruction in the 1930s. The Spiritual Center was a junior high for a period of time, then a college, and now a venue for retreats, professional conferences, and celebrations.
