I use a "client centered" approach where you are in the driver's seat while I give you guidance and support to keep going in the healthiest direction. It's all about your wants/needs. There is no deprivation "diet," but LIFESTYLE changes at your pace. As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for 29 years, I EMPOWER my clients to adopt healthy eating and exercising habits in order to embrace their optimal lifestyle. My nutrition, exercise and lifestyle recommendations are INDIVIDUALIZED according to my client's health needs, medical history, eating habits, food preferences, exercise routines, current lifestyle and many more factors.
I emphasize BALANCE in all aspects of leading a healthy life...diet, exercise, work, etc. I believe in keeping changes SIMPLE and gradual in order to establish healthy routines because I deeply respect that eating habits are not always easy to change.
Over the years, I've learned that encouraging and supporting behavior change takes a true PARTNERSHIP. My client's goals and challenges are always at the forefront guiding my counseling which is based on plans crafted to meet their unique nutritional needs.
I use several tools in my work to evaluate and then educate clients. Evaluation includes using Nutrition Analysis software, Food Recalls, Equations to determine BMI (Body Mass Index), Calorie & Nutrient Needs, and more. Education includes Disease-Nutrition information, Menu Planning (sample menus provided), Recipe/Ingredient Revisions, Necessary Supplements at reasonable prices, Tips on Stocking Your Cabinets & Refrigerator, Grocery Shopping Tips/Tours (virtual or in person), and much more.
I offer personalized nutrition coaching sessions and programs to help you achieve your goals and overcome health challenges. When your health improves, all aspects of your life improve as you heal from the inside out!

After receiving my degree in Foods & Nutrition and a minor in Exercise Physiology, I completed a Dietetic Internship at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center (1990) and passed my Registration Exam to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. I started my career (1991) as a Clinical Dietitian working as part of Healthcare Teams in Hospitals and Renal Dialysis Units. My next career move was as a Public Health Nutritionist Supervisor for a Non-Profit. I went from there to Medical Nutrition Sales Representative for Gerber/Nestle where I provided products to Pediatrician Allergist offices and Hospitals. My career progressed to working with University students at Azusa Pacific University Health Center and APU Dining Services. As I've passed through many positions I have always maintained one-to-one nutrition consultations because this is my passion.
