Did you know that Ruff's Seed Farms has been in business for 87 years!
Our company was started in 1936 by Herbert N. Ruff, one of the early leaders in hybrid seed corn development in Ohio. He was dedicated to producing top quality seed, we have since continued that tradition by offering farmers top-yielding corn hybrids as well as exceptional soybean and wheat varieties.
Ruff's Seed Farms is a family-owned and operated full-line seed company located near the farming community of
Amanda, Ohio, in Fairfield County.

Plant depth/condition importance
Planting depth will have direct impact on seed to soil contact as well as seeds’ access to adequate moisture and temperature. Planting too shallow may result in poor germination due to low soil moisture retention near the soil surface or seed injury due to insects or disease.
