And here we are 2020, locked in houses, and finding the same technology being the string that connects us.  So I think it will evolve into something new - and we will all say, "Why didn't I think of that?"

If you are addressing for mailings over 200 pieces - there is a possibility you could save money and have a mail house direct address and presort for your business. And it looks better than using labels, and the postage is less. It's an option. We also print postcards, letters that show through window envelopes or brochures while addressing using variable data. The trick is having the knowledge of postal regulations. You can contact me if you have any questions. pps-mail.net Here's an article and flyer that explains in more detail.

We use Facebook, Google+, set up Google MyBusiness, Twitter, LinkedIN, developing a few more. Our sales people are involved in community organizations to network other businesses, educate ourselves and help our fellow human beings. We use Email blast, blogs and face to face meetings. I feel educating others on how to promote their particular business or organization is always a plus. Since PPS is mainly direct mail, print and design, we do Direct Mail on a monthly basis.

Each company has it's own niche. We have experience in helping find the specific mail list to purchase, or working with a list provided. The professionalism in the design is key, as well as the offer on the postcard, letter, brochure or newsletter. What is your purpose out of the mailer? Non-profit - raising money; new to the neighborhood - how to find the store; great offer - make it worth their while to take action; event coming up - Save the Date! Make the purpose clear, and urge them to keep that mail piece on their desk, in their purse, or on their calendar. There are postcard sizes from 4 x 6 to 6 x 11 inches, that allow you to mail your postcard through bulk rate. If your list is over 200 pieces, you can save money on postage as long as you meet the postal regulations. Not all the printers understand the postal rules, and customers find out the hard way - the postal rates could be full price upon delivery to us, shocking, because the paper weight was wrong, the address area wasn't correct, the fold was wrong. Because it does matter, customers send us the pdf to look over before printing, or let us design it for them. It's well worth asking.

(more) I started many years ago, educating myself in the world of social media marketing. Taking seminars, online certificates, learning web development, and ways to keep up with analytics. Things change so quickly, it's imperative that we as graphic designers become more than just an artist. While working in print, I have noticed that those out of college were not taught about adding .125 bleeds beyond the trim edge or watching dpi (sharp focus because of more dots per inch) and quality of the print output. Because there are so many free tools out there, customers tend to feel they are designers without the education or knowledge behind them; we receive postcard designs in Word and Power Point. Where I think your first impression of professionalism is your artwork, logo, and overall branding presence, others only think in low cost. It's hard to me to understand, but I see it all the time. I want the client to have the best chance of the receiver becoming a customer, and not judge them as not caring enough to look professional. My favorite thing to do is take a very professional organization that has low presence, and brand them to bring them up to the next level, where they belong.
