About Us

I have spoken to, and worked for, small business owners throughout my adult life. They tell me about how they went into business for themselves so that they could better provide for their families, but how they never thought it would take so much time away from those families. They thought they could do what they love and bring in loads of money, all without having to answer to someone else….

Many small business owners are stuck in the old way of doing things, which means they:

💔Are doing their bookkeeping by hand
💔AND/OR using a desktop accounting software that they do not connect to the internet
💔They believe that if they want someone else handling their “books”, they need to hire them for an hourly wage
💔BECAUSE they are hiring them at an hourly wage, they want to micromanage, thinking it will speed things up, to not have to pay as much
💔If they DON’T hire someone, they are staying up late and getting up early to work on their books outside of their normal business hours
💔They end up sleep-deprived
💔They end up sacrificing their family time to make sure they have money for their family

It’s just not a fun way to run a business, in fact, it's soul-destroying😣.

How do I know? I have worked with small business owners in the past. I have friends and family who are small business owners. So I understand how stressful it can be.

Now, I’m on a mission to help small business owners get back that time with their families. I want to help them become financially free so they have money for family vacations, emergencies that may arise or retiring on their terms. I want them to be able, once the pandemic is over, to take that cruise their family has been talking about, that camping trip to the Adirondack Mountains, or even around the world, without having to worry about how their business can handle their absence.

I use QuickBooks Online (QBO) as I have found it to be the most versatile when it comes to different industries.  There are so many applications that can integrate with it and, for the most part, my clients can have 2 accounting seats in their account so they don't have to worry about if I want... (more) I use QuickBooks Online (QBO) as I have found it to be the most versatile when it comes to different industries.  There are so many applications that can integrate with it and, for the most part, my clients can have 2 accounting seats in their account so they don't have to worry about if I want access, if they want access or if their accountant wants access.  Everything is updated regularly so no one is looking at old data or having to worry about things being "undone" when trying to merge information.

(more) The form of advertising that has worked best for me, so far, is just plain networking.  In bookkeeping, there is a lot of trust that needs to take place on both sides.  The best way to build trust, regardless of the industry, is to get to know who you are working with, and it is so much better to have someone that already knows you are trustworthy to say "yes, I can vouch for that person, once you talk with him/her you will see that he/she is trustworthy..."
