As a staffing company, we run into this often- My advice- Stop expecting your new workers to act properly- until you set the expectations and explain how those expectations help the company run smoother and ultimately help the new employee- I know- We did not need to do this years ago- today's workforce grew up in a wide variety of situations and cultural mixes- Brilliant people but they must be told what you expect and why it's important. If you are not willing to take this time with your "newbies" - you will make it harder for you to succeed.
