About Us
Stokes, Hamer, Kirk, & Eads, LLP (formerly known as Stokes, Hamer, Kaufman & Kirk, LLP) has provided justice and quality legal services to clients in Humboldt, Trinity, and Mendocino Counties since 1948. Although the firm’s main office is located in Arcata, CA, clients can see our attorneys at the firm’s Garberville office by appointment.
Stokes, Hamer, Kirk & Eads, LLP currently has three partners, Chris Johnson Hamer, Eric Kirk, and Jason Eads. Jason Eads is our newest partner, who took over the Business and Estate Planning practice of our deceased partner, Thomas D. Rowe. Our partners have many years of experience to help with our client's legal needs in our many areas of law.

Our office does handle eviction actions. In California, they are called unlawful detainer actions.
