Owner / Leader decision. The larger the organization (easier to absorb "a mistake"), the less mission critical the job (easier to survive "a mistake"), and the lower the training threshold (reduced upfront investment), the better to hire interns and grow them into the job...with the potential to...

Owner / Leader decision. The larger the organization (easier to absorb "a mistake"), the less mission critical the job (easier to survive "a mistake"), and the lower the training threshold (reduced upfront investment), the better to hire interns and grow them into the job...with the potential to hire them with demonstrated performance. You also get to grow them into your culture, and way of doing things, rather than having to adapt a more senior employee with a pre-existing culture experience and way to do things.
I don't mention lower costs because there is concievably a "wash" between lower wage / benefits and training time/curve.
The big "but" is assessing the first three elements accurately.
It's that using a business coach is something that you do when your business is in trouble, or that you have something wrong that needs fixing.
Those are the most obvious times.
It's like waiting to do maintenance on a piece of equipment critical to your business until it breaks.

It's that using a business coach is something that you do when your business is in trouble, or that you have something wrong that needs fixing.
Those are the most obvious times.
It's like waiting to do maintenance on a piece of equipment critical to your business until it breaks.
It still is the way that most people decide to connect with a business coach (because pain is real today, reward is a concept that exists in the future). We would all be thrilled if people started using us to do "preventive maintenance" and avoid the disruption and downtime.Because it usually takes more money, time, effort, and headaches/heartaches to "fix" the issues that we work with when we're called in than fixing a piece of critical equipment.
Working with my clients to improve the performance of their businesses and teams in a way that gives them a better life with their families, and having their spouses, significant others, and children appreciate my work as much as my client appreciates it.
