How We Got Started

Starting in 2016, Austin Wood and Metal has been making high-quality products, based out of Austin Texas. We focus on hand-crafted, traditional joinery, and sustainable use of recycled woods.

From refined modern designs to weird south Austin masterpieces, we build it all while also having a lot of fun. Our workshop specializes in cutting boards, home goods, yard games, shelving, furniture repair, and custom builds.

We are now focusing on our mobile handyman and remodeling services that bring the same high quality of work and professionalism that we offer in our workshop to customers within the Austin area. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, comments, or custom build for us.

Often times discounts and promotions can give your business a reputation for being cheap.  Great customers will often pass on deals and hire handymen that might cost more but they have the perception they are hiring a superior service. People looking for a quality handyman seem to love sharp pictures and good explanations of your services. Many customers also like to see positive reviews.  With all that being said I've been moderately successful in offering new customers the first half-hour free when they book a job is two or more hours. We also do quite a few free estimates even though we try to avoid doing that.
