About Us

I have recently closed our kitchen in South Austin. I am now doing consulting for caterers and other bakers who need the guidance to create desserts & cakes as well as successful pastry businesses. Feel free to contact me for any help.

How We Got Started

Blue Note Bakery was established in April of 2004 as a custom cake and pastry shop in South Austin by Angela Jiles, a decorated pastry chef with over 20 years of experience.Since opening its doors, Blue Note has been featured in numerous culinary publications including; Rachael Ray Magazine, Edible Austin, and Austin Monthly. As a Blue Note client you can expect the highest quality of service, an authentic design, and a great tasting product! Everything is made from scratch, including our famous Honey Jean's Fondant.

Be unique. Give them something nobody else will. Also, don't try to get EVERY client. Sometimes you just need to focus on your special contribution & the business will come to you. Also, be patient.
