Receiving goods from Europe and Peru have been challenging. The consumer in my store, likes a destination store, they like to see gorgeous beautiful clothing. I provide gift wrapping, shipping and extraordinary customer service. Being loyal to your customer and trying to get to know them and their families is rewarding. The majority of my customers are just thrilled to find a store filled with beautiful clothing, the fabrics, colors and mixed styles. Unfortunately, retail is changing rapidly. On line goods allows the consumer easy ordering and less human interaction. I'm hopeful that the goods I order for the upcoming season will arrive on time. These are unchartered retail times, so like every other part of life. We are prepared to buckle up for the ride.

Customer service and providing the best clothing is a plus. You must know your customer and make the trip to your business worth it. The store is located in a very high traffic area, with lots of visibility. In this tough retail economy traffic works for you.

I find that upscale retail, in a stand alone building has a difficult struggle this year.The obviously on line sales have cut into the holiday weekend for years.However, the consumer these days in my experience is one that shops around. In my opinion quality again has become very important. There will always be the consumer that is driven exclusively by price. Providing excellent, sincere, customer service, gift wrapping and offering shipping services also is a added benefit to my store.

My key ingredient in getting my best customers is to: to provide honest sincere customer service. I only introduced them to clothing I thought would be the best for their child. I spent a great deal of time educating them about my many different lines of clothing. I also offered to customize and special order clothing for them. I listened to what they were looking for and worked within their budget. I did not apply pressure to buy anything, I only showed them how to mix and match clothing for a season.
