You can also donate gift certificates to local organizations that will get your name out there.  And again, if the client uses the certificate (for a single print) they'll most likely buy extras.   All the best! Brag a bit about the equipment you would use and the lighting you have. Remind the artist of how much work he put into his pieces and that the paintings deserve the best possible reproduction methods available. I personally do this type work for some artist clients and most have a very limited budget but do invest for their best images, especially if there's profit to be made. Good luck!

Sorry Lynn, I'm all Mac for photography. I use a pc only for accounting and such. If you need to plug in so many devices at the same time, I would suggest a hub for both pc and Mac. Nothing like the images on a large Mac screen! Kevin (more) Sorry Lynn, I'm all Mac for photography. I use a pc only for accounting and such. Run a Groupon for a low price for a portrait session and an 8x10 print. People going through the trouble to prepare for a portrait will almost always want more than one print. Get's you new clients and easy to upsell. Good luck! (more) Run a Groupon for a low price for a portrait session and an 8x10 print.
