The trick is to let go and let the team do what you pay them for. Learning on the job is necessary for any marketing employee. Once you start doing everything for them that they should be doing you take away from their creative flow. Also having things like a flow chart that the team has available to them is the best IMO. Lucid Chart.com has the chart tool I use because I have to organize things a bit different for my self. We live in a day and age of YouTube so when an employee comes and says IDK you ask have you tried YouTube? Usually its a no. Reward them for obtaining new certs. Offer pay raises for anyone who gets a new cert. Cap it off at like 4 certs for pay raises and you will see a bunch of people scrambling to stop asking how do I do this and get that cert. Almost everything in the marketing world can be obtained  in a short online class. Certs Certs and more Certs. Have your team knowing so much more then you they are helping you. Remember you want a team smarter then you. You want people who need you to move out the way. As far as tools go. Monday.com LucidChart.com Sendiable.com  Socialbaker.com. And you tube has every training video for all of them. Put in Monday calendar or what ever calendar you use times allotted for training. Have them come in an extra hr every 2 days. Strive to be like google and how its a constant learning experience. They will love the pay raise for a higher education. Hope this helps

Ask your self this when was the last time you bought something from someone who knocked on your door minus the pizza guy? Exactly. Face to Face networking happens at bars, Coffee shops, networking events. We are in 2019 the age of mass information. You can order anything you want online without ever talking to people. D2D is the cassette tape. People who still use it refuse to see that the CD is the new thing but they are stubborn. Walmart does not go door to door. Target does not go door to door. The ONLY good reason to have D2D is to season a new sales member. Nothing is better then getting shut down all day. Best sales training tool possible. Spend most of your time networking asking people to grab a coffee with you. You always pay for the coffee. The rest of the time can go to building your Linked-In and Alignable network. Social media is great for local brand awareness if done properly. Grant Cardon is right when he says get out of obscurity. If no one knows you no one will buy from you. People with money usually only buy from who they know.

We sites and social media are at a pivotal merging pint that we will really start to see over the next few years. We will be moving into a new era of voice search and AR-VR advertisement. No one but the major media brands are seeing this or at least building systems to accept this. But for the present time you must have a web site you must have social media. Its the blending of everything that really makes brands shine. Just watch some Gary V videos and he really understands everyone is screaming make video on social media and while that is true video is now what text ads once were. The writing is on the wall. I bet within the next 5 years you will be so socially connected that AI will be calling and securing services based off of the snack pack in google with out you ever knowing. Also I got a few messages about soliciting the QandA from the admins? This is a place for genuine questions for people to get help. I also wanted to add the idea of web presence is a very loose term thrown around. By web presence do you mean having a nice SEO optimized web site and some social media accounts? Really having a ''Web Presence'' is already old news. A company in 2019 needs a comprehensive list of citations that are managed as if they are social media account. A set of niche related back-links and a user experience that is 100%. Using social media to appropriately spread the message each platform was built to spread. You don't post just pictures on linked in and you don't ask for a good CPA on twitter. The number one problem 99% of all business have is not understanding how all of these tools help build a different part of your business. Just because facebook get leads and sales does not mean it is good for brand awareness. Just because twitter is good for brand awareness does not mean its good for publishing White papers . Just because Linked in is good at publishing white papers does not mean its good for .......... And so on. So much misinformation is given to company's on why they need a web site, SEO, Social Media Marketing. People need to understand web presence is a vague term for business plan. If you are not being sold marketing as a long term multi year business plan that includes everything from projected growth to ideal client profiles and analytical data to show how you are getting these ideas and numbers . RUN

Influencers only have so much weight. The first thing you want to do is build a relationship with them and have the long term mapped out. Make sure you do a little research into them first. How many ACTIVE followers do they have on all social media platforms. How active are they with the community? Dig a little deeper into who follows them. Make sure that the people following them are your ideal clients. It is better to have a person with a smaller more active fan base then it is to use someone who has a huge crowd but without a converting following. Something else to take into consideration is prices will go up over time or very fast if they feel they are not making enough money. So as part as your road map tell them after x amount of time I will pay you more then you are asking now if the numbers are making sense. My experience has always been a mix with that being said my top advise is test test test test. Pick the top 3-5 people and use them all and see who converts but remember just because one person is not converting does not mean it was bad creative or your product message was not on point to resonate with that population.

In Person Networking?  If you were my client I would first need to know what channels your ideal clients are using and with an age range of 25-65 it sounds like you pulled some general google analytics data and did not refine the actual data. Age and one narrow down is not enough. You need to ask questions like between the ages of 25-65 who is the active buyer and out of that mix who has kids. What grade are the kids in? What are the zip codes you want? If you are selling high value items you are not going to want to spend money on low income neighborhoods. What schools do your ideal clients kids go to? What grocery stores do they shop at? Something to think about is the area I live we have 2-3 nice car lots here so every person with an income over 100k drives one of three cars. They all shop at one store and frequent the same restaurants. If you are doing any online advertising as a company you can not afford not to be using Facebook Pixel. And re targeting. Other companies miss the point that Facebook Pixel is the best way to extract information and shopping behaviors form clients. Also you need to probe your existing clientele base for how they interact. For example if a certain smell is what increases the chances of selling a home the smart thing to do would to have a extra question asking what is your favorite scents and make sure when they are scheduled you have those scents used. 90% of all companies I work with have the same problem they feel asking clients for to much information is bad BUT they refuse to pay for focus groups? How are you ever going to get to know the market without constant data flowing in. Think of how much information you get when buying a new car. That is what your ideal client profile needs to look like not age and marital status. Hope this helps and my apology's for being all over the place with industries

You will not get any results from marketing with no budget and if you are told that please ask for results from said cheap methods. The best way IMO is to offer free sites to new business that have a budget. Yes free. Build up your portfolio and have a showcase of sites. Get them to write reviews on google, yelp and copy them to your website home page. With no money the only marketing you have available is word of mouth advertising. Trust me when I say doing FREE work in exchange for reviews is a great way for web designers to get business. Also look at things like the city you live in probably has a department that really needs a new site or an orphanage or homeless shelter even a pet rescue. Give them a great product for FREE and slap build by ********** at the bottom. You are also building links at that point as well as trust. Hope this helps you

Get on local Facebook groups and network till you know everyone in town. As my favorite sales guru says " Get Out Of Obscurity" . People buy from people they trust and know that is why big brands spend all that money on brand awareness. They have already shaken all the hands they needed to now its just a matter of being the most trusted brand and how do you do that? Relentless re-targeting and branding campaigns. Also another business person I have a high level of respect for says this. You can be a hunter or a farmer. A hunter as far as sales go cold calls, runs PPC ads and blasts out cold emails. A farmer builds the relationship so it can harvest the fruits later but the big difference is life time value. If you get a client from an ad on google they are usually not interested in understanding what your process is they usually called and want to pay money for a result. When you build trust you have a better open line of communication with them. So when you try and explain the results of the SEO work you did will take 4-9 months to really start to get results or that you have to do a series of A/B testing on landing pages witch will require a little extra budget they will be mindful and respect the process because you started the business venture with communication and trust and are a pro. No cheap advertising will bring you closer to your ideal client. If you are asking for what ways are affordable to get clients are your ideal clients even using those platforms? I have some clients say that Craigslist is a great way for them to get clients and I always ask the same question. Did they turn into a quick buck or a long term client who had goals and a good understanding of business. Always no. What I am getting at is start with your ideal client profile and start eating at the restaurants they do. Start joining the groups they do. If your ideal client is a business owner with and annual income of over 500k. Has less then 10 employees and needs marketing they will not be actively searching on a reduced method. I do not mean this in a negative way but when a person asks the question you did it makes me think that you did not build a solid business plan and did not put forth the work building a full ideal client profile. If not I would start with that. After that reverse engineer that profile and you will have a road map to exactly who, what, when, how. I really hope this helps you!! Have a great day!
