I have designed and personally built with a small team in both Prince Edward Country and later at Red Dee College Field prototypes which have validate the performance of 5Wind's designs on QBlade, a leading tool for wind turbine design from the Technical University of Berlin, Germany.
I started research and early scale model design (CH) and performed scale model wind tunnel testing (CZ) in an effort to improve the start, power output in low mount turbulent wind and overall annual power output of the Darrieus Wind Turbine in five blade form in October of 2006. Full scale mechanical Field Trails were held in June of 2012 in Prince Edward County, followed by first electrical power output validation of full scale five blade prototype rotors in Field Tests held in West Toronto in December of 2017.
