About Us

Star Print Brokers prints books with many custom options available; options that are hard to find elsewhere. We print in Asia for lower cost and higher quality. USA printing is only faster. Authors and publishers everywhere use our services, not just local self-publishers in the Seattle area. We do business internationally, and have done so since 1999.

Our color expertise is very much appreciated by our clients. We offer professional book design too. We have the capabilities manufacture nearly any size book that you require.

Typically, we print high-quality coffee table books for photographers, artists, and art galleries, as well as large format books. But, we also print cookbooks, children's picture books, novels, and much more.

Our book bindings include hardcover, soft cover, Wire-O, elastic band journals, and children's board books.

Among our hard-to-find options are slip cases, cloth cover wrap in a variety of colors and textures, foil stamps in color and finishes, tip-on printed images for the cover, sewn-in ribbon markers, bumper boxes made for your book's dimensions.

We also press CDs and DVDs, and print wall calendars as an add-on to your book order.

Because we print high-quality books on commercial printing presses,. our minimum quantities is 1,000 hardcover books, or 2,000 soft cover books.

Star Print Brokers, Inc., is based in Bellevue, WA.

We don't charge for initial 1-hour consultations. We print high-quality books on press --and design books -- so we actually quite a bit of additional free consulting once an indie author commits to us. We also offer pertinent tutorials. You might end up with more than one salesperson, therefore, you might be establishing territories at some point. Their clients, in their territory, are theirs until they leave the company. Pay them on sales. After all, once they land a client, they will be making sales almost immediately. It will be their responsibility to call on clients regularly to ask for more orders, in addition to cold calls. If a salesperson doesn’t make a sale within a set period of time, like 6 months, then the account is open for others to call on. It is really tough to get people to work for straight commission. If possible, I would pay a base salary of what is about 50 percent of historical sales in a territory, and then 50% more in commissions. Offer a bonus for every 3 clients they pick up in a quarter. If they sell over the historical base plus commission, pay them an additional percentage for sales over their goal. You may develop more styles of cards, at different price levels.

This isn't social media, but we print books for artists and galleries. High-quality printed coffee table books are a very upscale "business card" for serious prospective clients. Our clients also sell them at galleries where they are represented. We design books too. (more) This isn't social media, but we print books for artists and galleries. When you output images, you are outputting toner on stock. However, offset printing is printing real ink on paper. Toner smears unless it has a varnish added. Ink does not smear. But, I do agree with the others. Sometimes tripping over a dollar to pick up a dime is not worth it. Your cards are a loss leader. If they open doors to bigger projects, then great. Personally, I would suggest offering a higher-end premium option to print on press, as an add-on to the cheap cards.
