About Us

We perform home inspections, energy audits, duct/envelope tightness testing, certified radon tests and other ancillary inspection services. For peace of mind we are educated, mentored, certified and insured.

How We Got Started

We moved from a new-construction condominium into an existing house with the birth of our first daughter. A vague inspection and confusing report contributed to a case of pneumonia and double the budgeted contractor expenses during four months of unexpected rehab work. It was a pinnacle moment for us, filled with joy. It was also the most stressful transaction of our lives which emotionally, physically and financially drained us to the limits. This was a turning-point for how I wanted to help others professionally.

With experience on five of the seven building components, I performed a two year mentor-ship with a local ICC Master Code Professional Inspector during USDE accredited classes and regulatory certifications for each service. My passion for the work comes from experience and the opportunity to help others love where they live.

If you harbor customers within a building, you have heavy concerns about code compliance (some obvious, some not) towards fire, disabilities, ingress/egress etc.  For example, if you have more than 5 degrees slope in your parking lot, someone may call you out for not being appropriately handi-cap accessible. If your handicap signs are not the proper height, the stripes aren’t proper width, etc. etc. you are called out - we have a fairly large group of individuals who go canvassing from business to business, every day, looking for these overlooks in Atlanta (surely every hub city), they have made lucrative careers into this. They sue the company when they see your counters are not high enough, the bathroom stalls/toilets/sinks are not exactly within measurement and on and on. If you invest in commercial, invest in a seasoned local inspector to ensure you are 100% compliant. Whether the knowledge and lawsuits are ethical (I’ve heard about some real silly ones) I understand that the individuals making $100K+ calling out random businesses for non-compliance feel they are protecting those that are handicapped and want complete conformity. The important part is that commercial investors do, too. Also, if you are not compliant and are sued for it, GET A COMPLIANCE INSPECTOR BEFORE PAYING ANYTHING AT ALL. They may have added a few non-issues or falsehoods in there to scare the owner into paying ASAP and out of court.
