How do you introduce yourself at networking events?

I don't use a 30 second elevator pitch. The first thing I do is introduce myself and start a simple conversation eventually leading into the question of what type of business are you in? I feel this is more personal and shows an interest in the individual first then their business.
I am not a fan of jumping right into the business part of an introductory conversation.

I wasn't looking for a 30 sec tag line, as we all have different ways in which we introduce ourselves. My key point is that you don't jump into a sales pitch, as for sure no-one wants to be around you
