About Us

Being a family-owned and operated business for over 30 years, has definitely been a blessing to us, and a learning experience for us. We've probably seen anything a person could imagine, and learned that great customer service must be our #1 priority, no matter how large or small the project is! There are no "cookie-cutter" clients or jobs, and to our customers, their project is the most important thing on earth, and they are the most important thing to us!

Our proposals were based on our current prices, which have increased recently while availability has decreased. With winter here, we may be 3 months before we start work on proposals we recently did, and material prices and availability may make profits tank, and availability of product could postpone jobs further or cancel them altogether,  which would result in layoffs.

Business is up, but supplies to complete work are getting more expensive and less available, and help to keep up the pace is impossible to find.  (more) Business is up, but supplies to complete work are getting more expensive and less available, and help to keep up the pace is impossible to find.

Many jobs we've had in the past year have been exterior or interiors where the client is improving properties they don't actually live in (vacation homes) so it hasn't been an issue.  The small business loan program would be helpful to us also. We have cut back on employees and hours allowing us to stay afloat. We've been lucky so far to maneuver around and keep everyone doing something even if it's not a 40 hours a week. Funding would help us keep the status quo until the vaccine is widely available and life can return to normal.

Often, someone will mention some "goodie" they love from somewhere in town (like a biscuit, a slice of pie, etc.), so when we find ourselves next door to the place that the customer was raving about while we get materials, I'll grab them that biscuit, slice of pie, etc.,and arrive on the job with a little surprise. Since we're owners, it might be different with us doing it versus a painter's helper on your crew, but find a way to break the ice and do a great job! Always above and beyond the standards, never just the minimum!

(more) We have been very busy this year, and are booked for the next 6 weeks or so, depending on weather, but the phone calls we're getting now are from prospects wanting an estimate and can we get them on the schedule and completed by the end of the month! Considering it's the middle of the month, and we just said we're booked for the next 6 weeks, what part made of that statement sounds like we could fit them in within the next 2 weeks?  I love that we're so busy, but hesitate to just add employees with winter on the way.  Typically winter is the time of year that you might just get a painter to have you taken care of in 2 weeks if you catch them at just the right time! We have so many decks to stain or paint right now, and a couple of houses to complete, and the phone rings off the hook! At least we managed to have a lot of interior repaints and cabinets to refinish this summer, to keep us busy during all the rain we've had to deal with.  When the phone rings now, I cross my fingers and hope it's an interior job we can add when temperatures plummet this winter.  Maybe all the remodeling projects that are in the works now, will keep us almost as busy this winter as we've been all summer!
